Julian Fałat (born on 30 July 1853 in Tuligłowy near Lviv, died on 9 July 1929 in Bystrá) is one of the most outstanding Polish watercolorists, a representative of realism and Impressionism. The organist's son, who came from a poor family, earned money for his own artistic education. He said that he earned his money for watercolour painting because he could not afford to use oil paints. He interrupted his studies several times in order to be able to earn money for their continuation.
