Paintings reproductions - Józef Chełmoński

/ 5 ()

Józef Marian Chełmoński, coat of arms of Prawdzic (born on 7 November 1849 in Boczki, died on 6 April 1914 in Kuklówka Zarzeczna) is one of the leading representatives of realism. He was famous for his love for the beauty of nature and the people living against its background.

In a perfect way, he depicted the extraordinary bonds of a man living in constant harmony with nature. He also had an extraordinary ability to observe everyday life, which made his paintings gain in authenticity.

Horses in particular were close to his heart, it was thanks to the picture that the Four became famous on the artistic marketplace.

Selected works: A cross in a smoke, Storks, Babie summer, Partridges in snow.
