Amedeo Clemente Modigliani (born on 12 July 1884 in Livorno, Italy, died on 24 January 1920 in Paris). At the age of 14 Modigliani fell ill with the then deadly illness - typhus. In a feverish dream, he felt called to become a painter. After his illness, young Amadeo did everything he could to enter the artistic path. He was mainly engaged in portrait art, giving it an incredibly fresh value, often referring also to the Renaissance era.
