Russian painter, illustrator and art theoretician, precursor of pointless art, one of the representatives of abstractionism. He believed that art had a metaphysical function, he was also interested in the synthesis of arts. The only art accepted by the painter was real art, he tried to replace the abstract word with the absolute word. In his opinion, the basic aim of art is to search for spiritual forces in man and to strive for their complete liberation. In his paintings he often created geometric figures and referred to music, looking for a connection between the two currents of art.
